112th & 424th Infantry Monument

On the north side of the intersection after the steep grade in the center of town. Monument


A monument which creates a scene of a GI shooting out of a window, honoring the town's liberators: during he "Battle of the Bulge": the 112th Infantry Regiment (28th Infantry Division) and the 424th Infantry Regiment (106th Infantry Division).  Wooden soldier shoots out of a stone window supported by a stone wall.  A wooden plaque describes the action and contains a map.  A helmet and cross are both affixed to the monument.

Hommage to the 112th and 424th Regiments who liberated the sector of Wanne.  Action of the 424th Infantry Regiment (map).
