At the end of a dirt/gravel path going uphill to an overview of the bay.


Marker
A weathered boulder with a black plaque commemorating American aviators attached to it. It is surrounded on three sides by four smaller boulders linked with a chain.

The marker remembers the crew of B-17 (42-31179) " Stinky Weather" of the 511th Bomber Squadron, 351st Bomber Group, that crashed here on December 31, 1943.
