Monument
A large vertical red stone monument set on a stone slab bearing an engraving commemorating the B-17 that crashed in the area during WWII. B-17 'Hot Rocks' (42-31560) of the 510th Bomber Squadron, 303rd Bomber Group crashed nearby on September 8, 1944; several of the crew were taken prisoners or killed; one crew member escaped capture.
