Albert A. Erickson was born on February 17, 1892 in Sweden. He entered the military service in Minnesota and served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in Company C, 2nd Machine Gun Battalion, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action but declared "Missing" on July 21, 1918 and is memorialized on Tablets of the Missing, Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, Belleau, France. His name is commemorated on the Buzancy monument but his surname is inscribed as Ericson.
