Charles Mundell was born on June 10, 1883 in Middletown, Henry County, Indiana. He was the son of Edward Monroe and Mary Mundell. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in Company B, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 10, 1918 at the age of 35 in France but his current burial place is unknown.
