Axel John Pearson was born on November 30, 1891 in Star Prairie, St. Croix County, Wisconsin. His parents were John and Mary Hasselquist Pearson. He had 6 siblings. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company K, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 2, 1918 in France at the age of 26 and is now buried in Oakland Cemetery, Huntington, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, USA.
