Homer Jenkins was born on October 13, 1895 in Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana. He was Killed in Action on October 9, 1918 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry Division monument in Saint-Juvin, France and ranked as a Private. His name also appears in Row 2 of the World War I Memorial Marker in Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana at the interection of West Washington Street and South Meridian Street.
