When Earl C. Steinman was born in 1900, his father, William, was 23 and his mother, Anna, was 21. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company B, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on October 5, 1918 and is now buried in Vine Street Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, USA.
