Wesley J. Saenger was born on February 10, 1892. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company E, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 5, 1918 at the age of 26 and is now buried in Emanuels Cemetery, Morrison, Brown County, Wisconsin, USA. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry Division monument in Saint-Juvin, France but his surname is inscribed as Seanger.
