When Vincent Andrzejewski was born on July 10, 1895, his father, Mikolaj, was 32 and his mother, Frances, was 30. He had two brothers and three sisters. He entered the military service in Illinois and served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company M, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 7, 1918 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France.
