When Harold J. Redman was born in July 1896, his father, John, was 36 and his mother, Trissa, was 29. He had two brothers and three sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Sergeant in Battery C, 6th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on October 5, 1918 in France at the age of 22 and is now buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.
