Noble Cedrick Sooter was born on December 27, 1890 in Marshall, Searcy County, Arkansas. He was the son of Matthew Sooter and Mary E. Ashley Sooter. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company A, 3rd Machine Gun Battalion, 1st Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on October 5, 1918 in Champagne-Ardenne, France at the age of 27 and is now buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.
