Pharoah Isom Hopkins, aged 21, was born on June 2, 1923. He was the son of Alsey Kemp Hopkins and Amanda Boykin Hopkins. Pharaoh served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Private during World War II. He died on July 5, 1944 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla in Italy and is now buried in the Hopkins Family Cemetery, Nash County, North Carolina, USA.
