William Houston Schronce, aged 25, was born on March 18, 1919 in North Carolina. He was the son of William Cathy Schronce and Eunice Caroline Goodson Schronce. William served in Company E, 363rd Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 17, 1944 during the battle in the area of Ponzalla, Italy and is now buried in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery, Catawba County, North Carolina, USA.
