Edward F. Labno was born in 1917 in Illinois. He joined the Army in September 1943. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Corporal in the 745th Tank Battalion, 1st Infantry Division. Edward landed on June 6, 1944 on Omaha Beach, France and was Killed in Action on June 8, 1944 2 days later by a german sniper and is now buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
