Paul Howard Shinall was born on August 1, 1924 in Bartow County, Georgia. He was the son of Charles Jefferson Shinall and Armaretta Howell Shinall. He was about 19 years of age, having been in the service a little more than a year. Paul served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France and is now buried in Center Baptist Church Cemetery, Cartersville, Bartow County, Georgia, USA.
