Carl A. Dauphin was born in 1922 in New York. He was the son of Carl E. Dauphin and Jessie M. Dauphin. He enlisted in the Army on December 3, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was noted as being employed as a Shipping and receiving clerk and also as Single, without dependents. Carl served as a Sergeant in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in Allegany County, Maryland prior to the war. He was Killed in Action on August 15, 1944 and is now buried in Brittany American Cemetery, Montjoie Saint Martin, France.
