Erwin Peak was born on March 19, 1909. He was the son of Martin Alexander Peak and Angeline Smith Peak. Erwin served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Corporal in the 33rd Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 31, 1944 at the age of 35 and is now buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Jasper, Walker County, Alabama, USA.
