Harold R. McGeoch was born on December 30, 1921. He was the son of Harold Robert McGeogh and Vivienne Damon McGeoch. he was a graduate of Abington High school with the class of 1939 and from Northeastern University in 1943. Prior to entering the service, he was employed with a large Boston chemical concern. He was inducted into the service on June 23, 1944 and trained at Camp Blanding, Fla., leaving for overseas on November 23, 1944. Harold served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on January 17, 1945 at the age of 23 and is now buried in Hanover Center Cemetery, Hanover, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA.
