John Huston was a Academy-Award winning motion picture director, actor, and writer of the 1930s thru 1980s. Directed Hollywood film classics such as "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" (1948), "The Asphalt Jungle" (1950), "The African Queen" (1951) and Moby Dick (1956). Father of actress Angelica Huston, Mr. Huston was one of the "greats" of Hollywood's golden age. During World War 2, he was a Signal Corps Officer producing films for the US Army. In 1943 he was imbedded with the 36th Infantry Division and witness the difficult fighting in Italy and in 1944 he produced the famous movie, “The Battle of San Pietro” among several he produced for the Army.
