George E. Laflamme was born in 1922. He resided in Erie County, New York prior to the war. He enlisted in the Army on August 24, 1942 in Buffalo, New York. He was noted as being employed as a structural and ornamental metal worker and also as Single, without dependents. George served as a Private First Class, 1332nd Army Air Force Base Unit, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He died in the "Line Of Duty" of a non-battle related incident during the war. He is now buried in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo, Erie County, New York, USA.
George was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China but his surname is inscribed as Leflamme.
