Born January 17, 1924. Ball Turret Gunner of the B17G "Sequatchiee" 337876 that crashed at Montlouis August 1, 1944. Jirik survived the crash and escaped German patrols. He inaugurated the monument in Montlouis-sur-Loire and died the next day.
