Kenneth Malcolm Copley was born on March 16, 1892, in St. Louis City, Missouri. He was the son of Charles Wheeler Copley and Christina McCall Copley.

Kenneth was in the Signal Corps Aviation Service during World War I. He was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919. Lt Copley was accidentally killed while testing an airplane in Issoudun. He is now buried in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Jennings, St. Louis County, Missouri, USA.
