Warren C. Woodward was born on October 21, 1889, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was the son of Morgan Smith Woodward and Anna Graham Woodward.
Warren served in the 3rd Aviation Instruction Center as a First Lieutenant during World War I. He was killed in an airplane accident in France on October 21, 1918, and is now buried in the St. Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France. 1Lt Woodward was one of the 171 American servicemen who trained at the Third Aviation Instruction Center in France and died between 1917-1919.
