Charles Edwin Thompson was born on April 21, 1912. He was the son of Arthur Charles Thompson and Erna Campbell Moore Thompson.
Charles served in the 787th Bomber Squadron, 466th Bomber Group, Heavy, as a Staff Sergeant and Flight Engineer on the B-24 #42-95084 “Bird Dog” during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 13, 1944, when his aircraft crashed in the village of Tunstall, in the parish of Halvergate, England.
