Adam William Mullen was born on May 9, 1915, in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Adam William and Jane V. (nee McElwee) Mullen, of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.
Adam served in the #1667 Heavy Conversion Unit of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Flight Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 28, 1943, when his Lancaster aircraft # W 4904 disintegrated in flight over Cockhill, Yorkshire, England.
