Wilton E. Heger was born on January 25, 1907, in Saint Louis, City of St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of Oscar Heger and Lilly Gruenewald Heger. He was the husband of Ruth Olivette Hull Heger. He served in the 317th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II.

Pvt Heger was Killed in Action on November 28, 1944, during the liberation of Seingbouse, France. He is now buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-Avold, D�partement de la Moselle, Lorraine, France.
