2nd Lieutenant Thomas F. Davis, bombardier, took off from Harrington (UK) in his Liberator 42-72870 at 2201 for Op Stationer 57 to drop off ammunition and materials to the French Resistance. His plane was shot down by flak at Bernieres-le-Patry.

He is buried in the same grave with SSGT Brewer and SSGT Bindel in the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, USA.
