Clyde H. Haney was born on February 4, 1910. He was the son of Charles Riddle Haney and Anna Ellen James Haney. Clyde served in Company B, 23rd Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 15, 1944 at the age of 34, when his column was ambushed in Marboue, France and is now buried in the Morris Cemetery, Greenfield, Weakley County, Tennessee, USA. His name is also listed as an Honor Roll Soldier on the War Memorial at Dresden, Weakley, TN.
