"Charleston - Oct. 27.- The body of Pvt. Barrett L. French, coming from Memphis, is to arrive at noon Thursday, and will be taken to Nunnelee Funeral Home.

The date has not yet been set for the rites, which will include military services, but will be at the funeral chapel with Rev. Conley Scott in charge. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Pvt. French was born July 31, 1913, at Cooter. He served with an infantry unit, and was killed in France Aug. 27, 1944. He was in the upholstering business before his military duty.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman B. French of Charleston, and a son, Charles N. French of Denver, Colo., and three brothers and four sisters.
