Ralph L. Coleman was born on July 15, 1916. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II as a First Lieutenant. He entered the air corps in West Virginia in September, 1942, and received his wings 13 months later. Lieutenant Coleman was killed when he crashed due to poor weather conditions on 19 June 1944 flying the P-51B serial no. 42-106858. He is now buried at Montgomery Memorial Park, Montgomery, West Virginia.
