Roland L. Vincent was born on May 12, 1920. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II as a First Lieutenant in the 354th Fighter Squadron, 355th Fighter Group. He entered the service in New York. During his stay in this unit, he won 1 confirmed victory in aerial combat. He died accidentally piloting P-47D Thunderbolt #42-8433 when his aircraft broke up in flight, during a high speed test dive and crashed near Colerne, England, during World War II. He is now buried in Riverside Cemetery, Coxsackie, Greene County, New York, USA.
