Reuben Allen Weiner was born on July 14, 1920. He entered the military service in California. He served in the U.S. Army during the Normandy Invasion of World War II as a Technician Fourth Grade in 165th Signal Photographic Company, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division as a combat photographer parachuting into France before the D-Day landings and through the concentration camps and the end of European operations. He ended his military service as a Staff Sergeant. Following the war he worked for Paramount Studios as a photographer and later in his own studio. In the late 40's with his father and brother he started Weiner Iron and Metal where he worked for fifty years. His ashes are interred in Hillside Memorial Park, Culver City, Los Angeles County, California, USA.
