Fay Patton was born on November 19, 1893. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Sergeant in A Company, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Fay Patton was the first Warren County soldier to set foot on European soil during World War I. He was killed by an enemy sniper just five days before the Armistice was signed. He is now buried in Upper Mound Cemetery, Warren County, Indiana, USA.
