Ben Brand was born on February 26, 1896. He enlisted in Minot in Co. A. At Camp Greene and was transferred to Co. D. Later, in France, was he transferred to the First Division, Co. B, 18th Inf. He was Killed in Action on May 15, 1918 and is now buried in Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, Ward County, North Dakota, USA.
