Jacob Golub was born on April 15, 1892 in Russia and the son of Harry and Fannie Golub. He came to US in 1910 and enlisted on January 4, 1917. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company F, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was sent overseas in June 1917. He was Killed in Action on July 18, 1918 at the age of 26, in the Battle of Soissons, but his burial place unknown.
