The site is located on the west bank of the Elbe River in the German town of Strehla. Strehla is a small town in the district of Meißen, Saxony, Germany. It is located on the river Elbe, north of Riesa. The site, Strehla Memorial Park -East Mets West Link-up, is located south of Strehla town center on the river near the ferry site (Denkmal der Begegnung).
