The site is located on a hiking trail mountain valley overlook at 2,050 meters of altitude, just below the peak of Dreibündenstein within the boudries of the town of Malix. Malix was a municipality in the district of Plessur in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. (Today the municipalities of Malix and Parpan merged into the municipality of Churwalden). The site is accessible via a footpath with a magnificent panoramic views; the memorial you have a great view of the Calanda massif opposite and the Rhine Valley near Chur. This memorial is hard to find and suggest contacting the B-17 Museum in Utzenstorf to arrange a visit. Special thanks to the B-17 Museum in Utzenstorf for assistance with this site.
