Neu-Augustusburg Castle Museum
Description:
The site includes two memorial plaques commemorating the city’s last days of World War II, during 12-15 April 1945, one dedicated to the U.S. 69th Infantry Division, which played a critical role in taking control of Weissenfels, and another dedicated to those who fell on both sides during this battle.
