1st Infantry Division Marker - Yoncq
Details:
On the northeast corner of the intersection of D4 and D30. Directly on the side of the road next to the street sign for Mouzon and Yoncq.
Marker
It is a tombstone shaped stele made out of rough concrete with an inscription honoring the US 1st infantry Division for their actions on November 5th, 1918. The 1st ID was noted to have been moving through the area of Yoncq when they encountered German forces in early November, 1918.
