Isolated Burial

A CWGC headstone over the grave of Johnston, an American fighting for the Scots. 

Gerald Johnston was an American Actor who joined the Canadian military at the out break of war.  He served ion the Black Watch and was captured during the Dieppe Raid (Operation Jubilee) in August 1942. He was a POW in Stalag II-D near Stargard in Poland. On November 5, 1944 he was caught attempting too escape and shot.
