Astronaut Michael Collins Birthplace Plaque
Details:
On the exterior wall of the building about 12 feet above the sidewalk.  To the right of the main entry door of the address.
A 2x3 ft white inscribed marble plaque.
The plaque marks the location where the Astronaut Michael Collins, the son of the US Army attaché in Rome, was born on October 31, 1930.  Collins served in the US Air Force and as a NASA Astronaut.  He was on the crew of the historic Apollo 11 mission during which the first men walked on the moon.
