On the second floor of the museum.
The Danish War Museum is set in the historic 1604 Arsenal of Chrisitan IV. Visiting the war museum is walking through Danish history form the 1500s through the war in Afghanistan.
One exhibit on the second floor, honors a Dane, Corporal Niels Iver Qvistgaard, who fell fighting with the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in 1952 during the Korean war. The exhibit contains his USMC uniform; his medals and a letter from President Truman to his father, a Danish Admiral, Erhard J.C. Qvistgaard, who was the Danish attaché in Washington DC.
