Mounted on the left wall of the stairway that leads to Rue Château Robert. It is placed below another plaque.


Plaque

A blue square plaque printed in colors and is inscribed in French and English text with white lettering which commemorates the town’s liberation. On August 27, 1944, the town of Valréas was liberated by the 3rd Infantry Division of the United States from German forces. Printed on the top of the plaque are the 3rd Infantry Division unit crest, US flag, and the 3rd Infantry Division’s insignia. The dedication message follows.
