Le Thor Liberation Plaque -3rd Infantry Division
Details:
The plaque is affixed on the east corner of the outside wall of the town hall. The plaque is facing the bridge that is connected to the parking lot.
A blue rectangular plaque with white border, inscribed in French and English text with white lettering which commemorates the 3rd Infantry Division of the United States for liberating the town of Le Thor on August 25, 1944. Printed in colors on the top of the plaque are the Le Thor Coat of Arms, Franch flag, US flag, and the 3rd Infantry Division insignia followed by the commemoration message.
