Affixed on the pillar of the retaining wall on the north side of the junction, next to the street name sign.


Plaque

A thick, white, rectangular stone plaque with incised inscription written in English text. The street is named after 2LT Samuel Kershaw and the plaque was dedicated in his memory. 2LT Kershaw’s plane crashed after metal fatigue caused the left wing to break away. He managed to maneuvre the plane to ensure that it hit no buildings but he perished. The plaque was unveiled on September 3, 1999.
