Le Rialet Resistance Fighters Monument
Details:
On the east side of the street.
A large, parabolic stone monument that is split in the center forming the Lorraine Cross. The monument is inscribed in French and lists 12 names of the Resistance Fighters including Bernard Gautier and Robert Spaur, of the OSS Operations Group PAT, who were killed in combat in the village on August 12, 1944. There is another memorial nearby honoring just Bernard Gautier and Robert Spaur on the site where they lost their lives.
