Mertzwiller 75th Anniversary of Liberation Plaque -36th Infantry Division

On the north side of the road, next to the town war memorial.
A rectangular bronze plaque inscribed in French in relief lettering with the town’s blazon on the center. The plaque commemorates the soldiers and officers of the 36th Infantry Division for liberating the town of Mertzwiller during World War II. The plaque was dedicated on the 75th anniversary of the town’s liberation from German forces.
