Details:
On the southwest corner of the parking lot.
A free-standing, black, pentagon-shaped stone monument inscribed in French and English in white lettering. The monument commemorates the crew of a crashed Lancaster plane as well as First Lieutenant Hill whose aircraft crashed in the area during World War II. 1Lt Hill was returning from an escort mission to bomb the Bordeaux-Mérignac airfields when his aircraft crashed.
