7th Armored Division Fallen Monument
Details:
On the west end of a small park.
A gray rectangular monument about 5 feet high with a black polished inscribed marble attached to the front. A sign with the Allied units that fought in Meijel is nearby.
The monument commemorates the men of the 7th Armored Division “Lucky Seventh” who were killed 27-30 October 1944 during the German counter-attack through Meijel. A nearby monument at Ospel (west of Meijel) commemorates those 7th Armored Division men killed the during the liberation of that area, before, during and after 27-30 October 1944.
The monument was dedicated October 24, 2009.

The text on the plaque is written in Dutch and English. The English reads:
